Back to Blogging

Man, am I glad to be back ! After this long exams period, I’m looking forward to write more and more about fresh new ideas that have been sleeping at the back of my mind. I’m getting quite tired of seeing drafts piling up on my desktop, waiting to bloom into articles!

At the moment, I’m keeping myself busy with things to do before I leave for London. Packing for three months isn’t easy but hey, who’s complaining? 🙂 I feel like the luckiest girl alive!

Other than that, I’m just enjoying my free time as much as I can. During my exams, I always come up with a list of things to do during holidays, such as reading books I didn’t get a chance to read, re-visit my favourite places in Brussels, discover unknown little restaurants and – of course – sleep in! Wow, that word has been estranged from my life this last month…

This year, however, my list is all about TV series marathons. On my must-watch list: Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones and Homeland. I’m almost through with the third season of Downton Abbey and I must say I’m impressed with – well – just about everything: the actors, the decors, the atmosphere, the evolution from the beginning of the 20th century to the early 1920’s and Lady Violet’s brilliant quotes (without a doubt, this character has been tailored for Maggie Smith)!

One of Lady Violet’s quotes that made me laugh out loud: “What is a weekend?”. It sounds funnier when you hear her say it, trust me.

I’ve also had the chance to watch Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby! Where do I start? The actors! The music! The costumes! The fancy cars! The lights! The sparkling Big Apple! The absolute craziness of the Jazz Era!

Shall we all agree that Leonardo DiCaprio can play any character while exuding tremendous class?

In other words, this calls for a special article… So stay tuned!
